A Surprise Engagement at Harbor Point Boardwalk in Stamford, CT | Peter & Kaelyn


Peter planned the sweetest surprise engagement for Kaelyn at Harbor Point Boardwalk in Stamford, CT and I’m still not over her reaction.


Harbor Point is one of my favorite spots in Stamford for proposals. You get the water, the skyline, the boats, that salty breeze coming off the Sound. It feels romantic without trying too hard.


Peter was nervous. Like pacing a little, deep breaths, checking the time nervous, keeping in constant communication with me about when and where they would be. He did not want to mess this up! But he also had this calm confidence about him. He knew she was going to say yes.


They walked along the Harbor Point Boardwalk like any normal evening stroll. Kaelyn had no idea. When he stopped and turned toward her, you could literally see the shift. Confusion. Realization. Shock.


And then…

“Oh my GOD.”

More “Oh my GOD.”

Tears. Hands over her face.

And finally, through happy crying… yes.


It was one of those reactions that you cannot script. Completely raw. Completely her.


From Waterfront Proposal to Family Celebration in Stamford


After we took a few moments to let it all sink in and wandered around Harbor Point for photos, Peter told her they had dinner plans at a local restaurant in Stamford.


She thought the surprises were done.


They were not.


The second she walked in, both of their families and closest friends were waiting for them. The tears started all over again. It turned into this full circle celebration with hugs, cheering, and that kind of laughter that only happens when everyone you love is in one room.


Stamford really showed up for them that night. Harbor Point gave them the most beautiful backdrop for the proposal, and having everything within walking distance made the transition from intimate moment to full celebration feel effortless.


Peter and Kaelyn’s engagement at Harbor Point Boardwalk in Stamford, CT was emotional, joyful, and so them. The nerves, the tears, the double surprise. I’ll never get tired of witnessing moments like that.


And yes… she definitely said yes. 💍
